Key responsibilities

The WTG Package Manager is responsible for leading the technical aspects of the WTG contract packages for the project, through development, contracting and execution. Providing additional support to other areas (like electrical system design, structural design, ports, installation, etc.) and ensure the project in compliant with the relevant regulation both at industry and local level and engaged with stakeholders is required.

• Provide strong and visible HSE leadership by embedding our client’s safety culture in the execution of the WTG package
• Close collaboration with the commercial and contract manager assigned to the WTG Package
• Act as the main point of contact to the WTG supplier and handle project-related contractual, planning, cost control and technical communication with contractors and suppliers
• Overall responsibility for the Turbine Supply Agreement
• Ensure fulfilment of contractual requirements and align with the technical authorities and requirement owners on deviations from the same
• Accountable for budget, schedule, quality, risk and opportunities for the deliverables of the WTG Package in the context of the overall project
• Manage interfaces to other packages and delivery scopes including support and input to decision processes
• Ensure the management of TDD (Technical Due Diligence), manufacturing/installation surveillance/audits, commissioning, documentation and subsequent handover to O&M, including general follow-up
• Proactive sharing of lessons learned and best practice, using and contributing to the common knowledge pool and taking responsibility for improvement initiatives in order to ensure continual improvement of our WTG package delivery and work processes
• Ensure the project is executed within the needed business case and be a strong anchor to drive innovations and LCOE (levelized Cost of Energy) reductions
• Proactively support the achievement of Environment and Sustainability targets in the project

Role qualifications

• Project and/or package management experience from the wind industry
• Preferably experience and know-how obtained from previous roles from execution of offshore wind project (e.g. Construction Manager, Commissioning Manager, Technical Project Manager)
• Vast experience in tendering and leading contract negotiations for large scale projects and facilitation
• Knowledge of wind turbines design/study/analysis processes from a client point of view
• Specific knowledge of the standards associated with WTGs supply, installation and commissioning
• Knowledge about project planning and coordination, design, specification, test and documentation of WTG preferable for offshore environment
• Have a strong personal drive and ability to create partnership both with external suppliers and internal stakeholders, where team mindset is key to success
• Can take a leading role in order to achieve results and take ownership of the solutions
• Proactive to identify and resolve problems, and to find optimizations and improvements
• Speak and write English fluently
